Glossary

 

KUNDALINI AWAKENING: The awakening/activation of a dormant energy within the body, called Kundalini energy or Shakti.  Activation of this energy results in accelerated spiritual development of the individual.  Kundalini awakening corresponds to what the early Christians called becoming filled with the Holy Spirit.

 

 

SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT: A state of consciousness characterized by visual perception of a bright white light that fills the mind.  Frequently emotions of love, joy, bliss and happiness are experienced as well as the sensation of being in a mind to mind connection with the creative consciousness of the universe.  One may identify with this light.  This is likely what Christ was talking about when he said “I am the light of the world.”  He may also have been referring to a COSMIC CONSCIOUSNESS experience similar to that described by Paramhansa Yogananda in his book Autobiography of A Yogi.

 

 

SPIRITUAL AWAKENING: Becoming aware of the underlying spiritual basis of reality.  Becoming aware of your own spirit and soul and identifying with these divine aspects of yourself as the true/real you.

1. An accurate understanding of the nature of reality, the nature of the universe
2. An accurate understanding of your place in the universe, your role in the functioning of the universe
